COOK SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW
Congratulations to the girls 800M Relay Team for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athletes of the Week. This relay team of Janet Le, Dinah Tippins, Carly Fisher, & Chelsea Petree placed 2nd in the 4A Region III Track Meet and are advancing to the UIL State Track & Field Championships in Austin this week. Even more impressive, they shaved a full second off of their best time, breaking their own school record for the 2nd time in the last two meets.
The girls will compete in the State Meet on Thursday, May 2 at 5pm at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

LADY BEARS SWEEP BI-DISTRICT SERIES
April 27 (Cleveland) – The Lady Bears swept the Livingston Lady Lions to take the Bi-DIstrict series two games to none. LCM won game won Firday night 11-1. Jacelyn Cook had a grand slam and Tessa Erickson added a walk-off 2-run homerun. Every Lady Bear recorded a hit in the game. In game two on Saturday, LCM scored three runs in the seventh inning to win 6-5. Cook went 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and Ava Wright went 2-for-3 with a solo homerun, her first of the year. The Lady Bears will take on Gilmer in round two. Details will be announced on Monday.

TENNIS COMPETES IN DISTRICT MEET
April 26 – The Bears took part in the Varsity District Tennis Meet Thursday and Friday. Results are as follows: Carson Forester took 1st place in the Boys Singles. Bryn Parry and David Daleo took 2nd place in the Boys Doubles. Lucia Montoto won 2nd place in the Girls Singles. Tucker Floyd and Maddie McConnell placed 3rd in the Mixed Doubles. Rachel Ammean and Abigail Wilson took 3rd place in the Girls Doubles.
