1999-2000 Band
Accomplishments
The LC-M Wind Ensemble earned
it's 22nd UIL Sweepstakes Trophy at UIL Concert and Sightreading
Contest on April 13th, 2000 earning straight 1's. The LC-M
Symphonic Band also earned UIL Sweepstakes with 1-1-1 on stage
and 1-1-2 in sightreading.

students made the 4A Texas All-State Band. They will be attending
the annual TMEA Convention in San Antonio February 9-12, 2000.
Texas All-State band students are approximately in the top
3% of all high school musicians in the state.

were selected for the All-Region X Band with 4 alternates
to the 2nd band as well. Tryouts were held December 11th,
1999. Additionally, 8 students made it to the Area level.

We attended State
Marching Contest at Baylor University on November 1st
and placed 21st out of 23 bands.
We attended Area
E Marching Contest at Sam Houston State University on
October 23 and placed 1st which allowed us to advance to State
Marching Contest in Waco.
We attended Region
X Marching Contest on October 16 and earned our 23rd consecutive
1st division rating.
