Little Cypress
Elementary School is blessed to have a faculty and staff that
truly understand the mission of a public elementary school in
the 21st century. Our dedication to learner-centered
instruction is demonstrated through collaborative efforts of
the teachers, staff, parents, and district personnel as we
work together to meet the complete needs of each individual
child. LCE personnel utilize a variety of means to continually
monitor the progress of each student towards the academic
goals established by the state and the district.
Our teachers and staff plan instructional activities that
align with their grade level curriculum objectives, building
upon prior learning and preparing for future learning. Keeping
this long-term vision in mind insures that when our students
complete 3rd grade, they are not only ready for intermediate
school, but are well on their way to becoming successful
graduates.
When parents come to enroll their children in LCE, they will
find that our commitment to academic excellence is matched by
our caring and concern for each child. Our teachers and staff
are not only some of the most highly qualified and experienced
school personnel to be found in any school, but also some of
the most nurturing. By balancing our drive for academic
excellence with our compassion for each child, we are able to
