Audience: Second grade students
Objective (Science): Learn about and identify characteristics of
bats, TEKS 2.2A, 2.4A,
2.6D, 2.8A, 2.9A, 2.9B
Objective (Technology): Students will acquire information from the
teacher-created web page and the Internet to answer pre-determined questions.
Based on the research, the students will then create individual PowerPoint
presentations with images and links to describe their findings, TEKS 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 6A
Assessment: Students will present their presentations to the class and the
class will be asked to write evaluations about the bat information and the
presentations themselves. The student will also be assessed with a rubric.
Directions: Click on each bookmark and answer the questions on your paper to
be handed in at the end of class. At the end of your research, you will begin
using Microsoft PowerPoint to create a presentation which contains image(s),
web link(s) and text. Your presentation will be saved to the network so you can
finish during our Computer Lab time.
