Indians of Texas
Audience: 4th Grade Students
Instructional
Objective (Social Studies): Students will be able to
describe how the earliest Texans survived in a changing world by changing their
way of life and their means of getting food.
Students will examine different Indian tribes including their dwellings,
food, culture and methods of survival.
Instructional
Objective (Technology): Students will acquire
information from the Internet and answer predetermined questions. Students will create a power point
presentation based on the research found.
Assessment: Students will present their power point
presentations to the class and the class will be asked to write a paragraph
describing the different Indian tribes of Texas. Students’ work will be assessed using a rubric.
Directions: Click on each Indian tribe’s name. When you get to
that website click on “Articles on Tribes” and choose the Indian tribe for that
link. Then answer the questions about
that tribe in your spiral. The spiral
will be handed in at the end of the class.
At the end of your research you will use Microsoft Power Point to create
