Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Adds New Resource to
Provide Greater Technology Training
Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD has taken
steps this school year to become increasingly efficient at
integrating technology into the school and the classroom.
According to Kim Allen, Director of Technology, “Little
Cypress-Mauriceville CISD has joined forces with Atomic
Learning, Inc. (AL), a nationally respected provider of
Web-based software training, as part of the District’s new
professional development program. The initial phase of
deployment of the new professional development platform
will include members of the District Technology Committee
this summer. The full implementation with LCM’s faculty
and staff is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2010.
Future plans include access to students in a limited test
environment to the program during the second quarter of
2011.”
Dr. Pauline Hargrove, LCM CISD
Superintendent said, “Our District is committed to
excellence for all by providing students and educators the
knowledge and skills necessary to attain the highest
levels of success. We believe this portion of the
District’s new professional development program will
assist our educators in developing 21st century teaching
strategies that will inspire, encourage, and empower our
students to reach their full potential and prepare them
for their future careers in our technology-infused world.
The District recognizes and appreciates that technology
is the means by which our students live and learn.
Therefore, it is our responsibility and pleasure to
embrace the opportunities it offers and use it for the
benefit of all.”
