X (Twitter) recently changed how embedded feeds display, due to their new policy requiring users to be logged in to read tweets (X/Twitter limits how many threads a user may view in a single day). For X/Twitter feeds to show correctly, people must log in (or create an account) to view the tweets. 
 

The LCM HS Fine Arts programs invites you to the
2nd Annual Fine Arts Night 
in the LCM High School Auditorium on Friday, April 19. 
There will be an Art Exhibition and performances by the LCM Bands, LCM Choir, Bear Stage Players and the LCM Honey Bears. 
Fine Arts Night

Food trucks will be on site starting at 5 pm, and performances will begin at 6 pm.
Students – $5; Adults – $10;

LCM Stark Reading Contest Results
Each 2nd place LCM winner receives a $1,500 scholarship, and LCM’s first-place winners receive $2,000.  

Analisa Jennings and Paige McKee advance to the County Finals with a chance to win an additional $5,000. 

The County Final is April 28 at 2 pm at the Lutcher Theater and is open to the public.

Upcoming STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) Exams

Tuesday, April 23 - Biology and U.S. History
Tuesday, April 30 - Algebra 

Students who are required to take these STAAR EOC assessments are:
1) Students who are enrolled in these courses for the first time this school year, OR
2) Students who have previously taken but failed one or more of these STAAR exams

Students who need to take both tests that are scheduled for the same day will take the second test on a makeup day.  Rosters and room assignments will be posted in the hallway prior to testing.

LATE START TIMES:
Any Juniors and Seniors who have previously passed the Biology and US History STAAR tests will have a late start on Tuesday, April 23, with classes beginning at 12:20. 

ALL students who who have previously passed the Algebra 1 STAAR test will have a late start on Tuesday, April 30, with classes beginning at 12:20.

Students who do not have transportation for a late start may ride the bus as they normally would and report to the gym during testing.  

STAAR Testing Bell Schedule

PROM TICKETS ON SALE
Prom will be held Saturday, May 11, from 8:30-11:30 pm at the Brown Center. Prom tickets are on sale now on PayK12 or in Mrs. Stephens' office for $25 until April 28. From Monday, April 29, until Friday, May 10, the price per ticket is $35, and if you purchase your ticket at the door it will be $40.  Each junior and senior is allowed to purchase 2 tickets. 
If a student plans to bring a date that does not attend LCM High School a Guest Permission Form will need to be completed and turned in no later than Friday, May 3.  Forms can be picked up and returned in Mrs. Stephens office as well.

2023-2024 REGISTRATION 
For Students NEW to LCMCISD
A parent and their new high school student(s) should come to the high school. A birth certificate, social security number, immunization record, and proof of residency (such as a utility bill) will be required of all students registering. Those who have been enrolled in another district should provide their latest report card, immunization record, and proof of residency at the time of registration.


Community Eligibility Program (CEP)

Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children, regardless of income, at no charge.

High School Transportation Information

Drop Off-Exit RoutesThe entrance to the student parking lot on 87 by the bandhall is an EXIT only and is blocked off to through traffic. Parents going through the drop-off line will exit to 87 by the bandhall, which helps the flow of traffic in the afternoon. Parents and students CANNOT ENTER the student parking lot from Hwy 87 entrance by the bandhall—it is an exit only for car rider pick up and drop off. 

AM: 

  • Student Drivers – Students are only allowed to enter the parking lot through the Bear Path gates, and both gates are open.  
  • Parent Drop Off – Parents enter from north 87 driveway across from car wash, drop off at the front of the school, pull through the driveway and exit onto Hwy 87 by the bandhall. That exit is for parent drop off only.  
  • Buses – Buses enter through the Bear Path entrance across from and drop off behind the cafeteria. 

PM: 

  • Student Drivers (red on map) – Students exit onto Bear Path only. Only the west gate will be open. 
  • Parent Pick Up (blue on map) – Parents enter from north 87 driveway across from car wash, loop around in front of nurse’s office and pick up at the front of the school, pull through the driveway, and exit onto Hwy 87 by the bandhall.  
  • Buses – Buses enter on Bear Path and pick up behind the cafeteria; then leave campus through the driveway to 87 across from the car wash.

Major competitive sports include football, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, track, cross country, and golf. Band, choir, drama, yearbook, speech, and debate have been consistent award winners.
